WHAT IS DRY GRAD?
Dry Grad is an event that takes place after the Grad Dinner and Dance on
Friday, June 5th, 2015
It is totally funded and organized by the parents of the graduating class.
WHERE
It takes place at the South Delta Rec Centre from approx. 11:30 pm - 4:30 am
WHY
After the dinner/dance grads traditionally wish to keep celebrating. They need somewhere to go.
This is a secure, safe and fun event for them. They arrive at Dry Grad and are kept entertained with all sorts of activities, music and incredible prizes – a car, cash prizes, electronics, gift certificates etc, etc.
(This keeps them safely at the Dry Grad until daylight)
HOW YOU CAN HELP
The Dry Grad Committee is made up of volunteering parents. Your help is needed. When the grads walk into the Rec Center it will be completely transformed. In order to accomplish the “WOW” effect a lot of work must first take place. It is now that all the signage, props and event/display items need to be made or secured. If you have some time that you can devote – perhaps a free Saturday or Sunday or one evening every few weeks - it would be greatly appreciated.
WHEN
Grad evening is Friday, June 5th, but set-up occurs on May 28 - June 5th, plus tear down on June 6th by 9:00am. If you have a truck or have experience with set design, building, electrical or are just available to help on those dates, you too are needed.
